Since its inception in 2017, the Bronx Night Market has prided itself to be a hub where female entrepreneurs thrive with more than 65% of the overall vendor lists. These strong ladies have been the FOH, BOH, marketing, and customer service representatives of some of the hottest culinary and merch concepts this city has to offer.
The long list of female business owners is something that the owner of the market, Marco Shalma is extremely passionate about and proud of. “I grew up in a female-dominated household, with a mom that worked from 5 am- 4 pm and ran an amazing home and 2 sisters that worked full time through their master’s degree. I have always hustled to catch up with them and have been in awe of their strength, dedication, and ingenuity. Therefore I aim to support these amazing entrepreneurs, I am honored to see them grow.”
