Top 5 Moments from Our 2021 Season
Updated: Feb 3
Bronx Night Market is OFFICIALLY coming back on April 30! As we wait for the most anticipated event in the Bronx, the team decided to look back on some of their favorite memories from 2021. While it seemed IMPOSSIBLE, we managed to pick ONLY our top five moments from last season (although there are hundreds more)!
1. Opening Day: April 3

We kicked things off in 2021 JUST RIGHT with our opening day in April. We were the first and only festival crazy enough to open because we love our people and we know how to do it safely. It was SO good to see all your smiling (and masked) faces after a long year of COVID restrictions. We kept things safe and HELLA fun with our amazing vendors, performers, and volunteer staff!
2. Birthday Bash: June 5

This summer, we got to celebrate FOUR years of the Bronx Night Market with all of y’all! We were the BUSIEST we’ve ever been with over 5,000 of our closest friends. With exclusive, legendary vendors like Katz’s Deli (who has never done an open-air festival before us) as well as GIVEAWAYS on GIVEAWAYS and the official opening of our Summer Backyard with games for the whole family, this was one for the books.
3. BronXtober Fest: September 18

National Hispanic Heritage month is so important to us, which is why we had SO much fun celebrating fall with our 2nd annual BronXtober Fest. Samuel Adams let us all taste their new lager and helped us host an ELITE Stein hoisting contest. Meanwhile, Nissan hosted an AMAZING art installation to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. This event is (clearly) a crowd favorite, and we can’t wait to continue the tradition in 2022.
4. Off-Broadway in the Boros Fest: October 2

Teaming up with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment for Off-Broadway in the Boros Fest: Bronx was WILD. The Borough President showed up, and we got to see so many community board members. We got to see exclusive performances from the cast of box-office explosion “Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation,” Pregones/PRTT’s “TORCHED!,” Hell’s Kitchen Happiness Krewe, and Luis Salgado and Company. The spirit of Broadway has been missed in NYC, and we were SO glad to be able to bring it back.
5. Halloweekend Event: October 30

One of our last events of the season celebrated the SPOOKIEST time of the year. We hosted two INSANELY GOOD costume contests for kids and adults, where we gave out free merch! Then we had back-to-back contests with our bloody cupcake eating contest and hot wing eating contest. And of COURSE, we spoiled the children and gave them trick-or-treating a day early. It was TRULY GOOD VIBES getting LIT for Halloween 2021.
